Free pdf – 9 tips to make your written work better
You look at the clock at the front of the exam room.
You feel tension in your shoulders and hands.
But you’ve nearly finished the English writing task.
Almost there.
Done!
You put down your pen and breath a sigh of relief. “Phew”.
You lean back on your chair and look at the other students who are all still writing.
Suddenly, you remember what your teacher said.
“Are you sure you’ve finished?”
You lean forward again and begin to review your work.
The student in this story did the right thing because they remembered to review their work. This final action is often the difference between a pass or fail in the exam, if you do it properly.
A quick check is not enough. We need to give our full attention to this task for about five minutes.
